During my visit to Red Cow, I aimed to balance comfort and value, given my commitment to sustainable travel as a freelance writer. The hotel had its pluses and minuses. The room was clean and well-furnished, showcasing a lovely parquet floor and a flat-screen TV for unwinding after a long day. I appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee facilities, ideal for a cozy evening in. Breakfast was noteworthy; the full English option was hearty, offering a great start to the day. On the downside, the hotel's check-in time of 5:30 PM and check-out at 10 AM felt quite limiting for the price tag-£181 for a night can stretch the budget, especially without breakfast included. The staff, particularly Amelie, were friendly and accommodating, although the situation with the Wi-Fi needing attention dampened the experience a bit. Still, if you're looking for a quaint English retreat that manages hygiene, service, and a decent breakfast-the Red Cow certainly deserves consideration.
